The Fire Awareness with Extinguisher training meets the mandatory requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO)
covering fire safety awareness, evacuation procedures with the practical use of various types of fire extinguishers. By the end of the course delegates will be able to: outline their role, appreciate the risk posed by fire and the unique nature of fire and smoke damage, understand basic fire safety principles, outline the common causes of fire, recognise different types of extinguishers and how to use them and understand the classification of fire. A BFST Certificate of Attendance will be issued to each attendee which is valid for 2 years.
Please be advised there will a practical demonstration held outdoors, attendees are required to wear suitable clothing to allow for all types of weather conditions and to include suitable footwear (under Health and Safety at Work) as heavy extinguishers will be in use.
